Mission Statement
ACHA considers people it's
most valuable resource, and utilizes a variety of sources to identify,
recruit, select and promote qualified individuals for employment
vacancies. Human resources is available to assist both departments
and individuals in all efforts to maximize productivity and potential,
and to promote the continued improvement of ACHA operations.
In conjunction and cooperation with Resident Services, we aim to
assist residents in self-sufficiency and quality of life improvements
efforts.
The Human Resources Department is responsible
for providing support services to the employees and departments
within the Authority. It is the goal of the department to provide
excellent customer service. The Human Resource Department formally
was referred to as Personnel.
The Human Resources Department consists
of four employees; the director, confidential secretary, administrative
coordinator, and a safety officer. The primary functions are the
administration of benefits, staffing, employee/labor relations,
counseling, policy administration, workers compensation and safety
within the authority.
The Authority encourages the submission
of applications from residents at all times. Open positions are
posted within the downtown central office, sent to the managers
and tenant councils as openings occur. These positions are also
listed on the ACHA website. Periodically job listings and applications
are sent directly to residents to encourage responses. The Human
Resources Department is also receptive to telephone inquiries regarding
employment. The days and times for application submission are Monday
through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
