The Intake Department of the Allegheny County Housing Authority held its sixth Resident Orientation for new residents of the past quarter, on Thursday, August 26, 2004. We had 6 new residents in attendance and 2 members from Brackenridge Resident Council from both Senior and Family Sites.

Members of the Executive Staff were on hand to meet with the residents and speak about their department's involvement with the residents. The committee members from the Intake Department were there to help the residents feel comfortable and offer them refreshments.

Eight door prizes were given away and each resident went

home with an ACHA Mug inside a gift bag with additional items. After the presentation by the Executive Staff members, the residents were asked to introduce themselves and tell us how they like their "new home." At the closing of the orientation the residents were gathered for a "photo shoot". These pictures will be entered into an album and also will be included on the ACHA website.
