PRE-PROPOSAL
CONFERENCE Q & A
VOICE TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICES
Will
the maintenance portion on the bid be separated? Maintenance
alone would be okay for bid.
Does the ACHA want Internet connectivity included in our pricing?
No.
If so, what specifications are you looking for in terms of bandwidth?
Does not Apply
Are you interested in higher speeds such as 3Mbps? The internet
connection shown on the line list Exhibit G is a point to point
circuit used to connect Parish Street, Green Tree to Stanwix Street,
Pittsburgh.
And
do you want installation and management included? The ACHA is
going to stay with current provider.
Who is your current ISP? Stargate. The point to point
is part of the bid but not the internet access.
Please
define what you are specifically looking for in terms of local services.
For example, are you requesting us to price out new Centrex pricing?
No new service, we want pricing on what we currently have. Not
necessary to provision as centrex.
Would
it be of interest to you for us to offer pricing to the ACHA off
the County of Allegheny contracts(s) currently in place? If you
can give the ACHA pricing that would be the same as the County of
Allegheny that is fine but the contract has to be with ACHA. If
so, would you want the bills to go to you separately or to the County?
The billings would need to go to ACHA, as we pay our own billings.
Are
all BTNs shown in "Exhibit G" under contract for the LD
currently, or are they all Month to Month? If not, when does the
contract expire. All of the long distance is currently under
a month to month plan.
Why
is the bid not available electronically? Specifically, the spreadsheets
for all of your locations? Ideally, we could use them for the pricing,
so if those could be provided, please let us know, and forward them
kindly. The line list that is currently on the CD can be e-mailed.
Assuming
you have PRI's, can we have the information relative to quantity,
etc. so that we can include them in our response? We can provide
you a better price if we are all inclusive with as many services
as you have possible. ACHA currently has a digital hand off facility
that works as a PRI, but was not able to be provided at the time
it was installed.
Regarding, Page B-3
Usage info: are the minutes monthly or
annual? The minutes are monthly.
What
are the business mailboxes? The locations only have one or two
lines so they have the mailbox for voice mail service. This will
need to continue. Stutter dial tone would be a plus.
Can
the Mitel handle the sharing a 'D' channel allowing the PRI 24 channels
for voice? Provisioning will need a D channel.
Do
the long distance rates apply across the foot print? Yes
Do
call waiting and call forwarding need to continue? Yes
What
are the BRI circuits used for? To dial into the Citrix metaframe.
BRI used for data between sites (33 sites) flat rates.
Are
there any remote analog key systems sites? Many small sites have
only couple of business lines - no systems
Would
a PRI be preferred over the Digital Hand Off? A T-1 would be
preferred not a PRI. After further review it has been determined
that two T-I's would be necessary. The current system is multiplexing
48 channels. ACHA does not currently have caller ID. T-1's will
need to work as DID/DOD.
How
many PBX trunks are there? None, these trunks are actually part
of the multiplexed 48 above.
Do
we want to keep the same numbers and bring them over the PRI? Yes,
the group of numbers are 412-402-2400-2621, 2623-2699.
What
are the BANA circuits? These are fire alarms and police alarms.
Where
do the 800 numbers ring into? They go to the maintenance central
office in Braddock.
