IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTS
Dear ACHA Resident,
Effective Wednesday, March 18th To do our part to lessen the likelihood of the spread of the COVID-19 Virus (Coronavirus), and for the health and safety of our residents and staff, we are temporarily closing our offices, community rooms and restrooms to the public until further notice. We will also be restricting the gathering of persons in the lobbies of our hi-rises. However, we will still be working to best serve our residents and can be contacted by mail, phone, fax and email. Furthermore, we have adopted an aggressive cleaning and sanitizing plan for each of our sites whereby our maintenance staff will be regularly performing specialized cleaning and disinfecting of common area surfaces throughout the day.
You should also take precautions to protect yourself from flu and virus at your home. Limit contact with persons visiting you from outside of the building. Sheltering in-place and eliminating and/or distancing your contact with others will greatly reduce the likelihood of contracting the illness. Likewise, you can protect yourself by washing your hands frequently and avoiding touching your face.
The virus causes respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms such as a cough, fever and in more severe cases, pneumonia. The new coronavirus spreads primarily through contact with an infected person when they cough or sneeze, or through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose. Taking the proper steps to reduce the possible spread of the COVID-19 virus will help us to avoid becoming ill.
